The Service

Every site is different

A construction phase plan should describe how this project, on this site, with these people, will be carried out safely. Generic plans don’t do that, and everyone on site can tell.

We build each plan from the pre-construction information, the building owner or occupier, a joint site survey and input from the contractors doing the work. The result is a clear, practical document your teams can follow.

We also review contractor RAMS, lifting plans and temporary works information against the actual scope, checking the competence of the person who produced each document, not just that the document exists.

What the law says

Under CDM 2015, a construction phase plan must be drawn up before the construction phase begins, by the Principal Contractor or, where there is only one contractor, by that contractor. It must set out the health and safety arrangements and site rules, taking account of the pre-construction information.

FAQs

Planning questions

Does every project need a construction phase plan?

Yes. Under CDM 2015, every construction project needs a construction phase plan, proportionate to the size and risk of the work.

How quickly can you produce a plan?

It depends on the project and the information available. We always visit the site first, so allow time before your planned start date.

Will you write our RAMS for us?

Contractors remain responsible for their own RAMS. We review them against the scope and site conditions and give practical feedback to improve them.
