Solar Panels for Retailers, Supermarkets and Retail Parks

Your doors open when the sun is up. We design and fit solar panels and batteries that power your lighting, fridges and heating while you trade, cutting energy costs for single stores and whole chains.

Your Challenges, Solved

Solar That Keeps the Tills Running

Retail sites need lower energy bills without upsetting customers or trading.

The challenge

Lights, fridges and air con all day

Shop floors, fridges and heating or cooling use lots of electricity while you are open.

→
Our solution

Solar matched to trading hours

Your opening hours line up with when solar makes power, so a well-sized system covers a big share of your daytime use.

The challenge

You can’t close to install

Every hour closed is lost sales, and customers must stay safe at all times.

→
Our solution

Installed while you trade

Roof work kept away from customers, safety planned under CDM (UK construction safety law) and the switch-over done out of hours.

The challenge

Multiple stores, different roofs

Rolling out across many stores means different buildings, landlords and DNOs (local network companies).

→
Our solution

One approach for every store

We survey and design each site, then run them all as one project with clear updates.

The challenge

Leased units

Many retailers rent their buildings, so it is less clear who pays and who benefits.

→
Our solution

Landlord and tenant options

We work with both landlord and tenant, including PPA deals where the tenant pays nothing upfront.

The challenge

Customer and investor expectations

Shoppers, head office and investors want proof that you are really cutting carbon.

→
Our solution

Savings you can measure and report

Live monitoring shows power made, money saved and carbon cut, ready for your ESG (environmental, social and governance) reports.

Business As Usual

Installed Without Closing Your Doors

We plan every retail install around your trading hours. Deliveries, lifting and roof access are kept away from customers, and the final switch-over happens out of hours. Shoppers only notice a greener store.

FAQs

Retail Solar Questions

Will we need to close the store during installation?

No. Most of the work happens on the roof, away from customers. The final electrical connection is usually quick and can be done outside opening hours.

Can you install across multiple stores?

Yes. We survey and design each site on its own, then run the rollout as one project, so you get the same quality and reporting at every store.

We rent our unit. Is solar still possible?

Usually, yes, if your landlord agrees. A solar PPA lets you get cheaper electricity without spending your own money on a building you don’t own.

Can solar power EV chargers in our car park?

Yes. Solar can power chargers during the day, and battery storage (saving power for later) can help handle the extra load on your grid connection.
